At Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Hetty Gertrud Hoornweg passed away peacefully on September 20,2020. Loving wife of the late Aloysius (Al) Hoornweg 2010. Loving Mother of Rick (Joyce) Hoornweg, Josta (Dave) Greenwood, Laurette (Jack) Brown, and Pamela(Dave) Brown.

Devoted Grandmother to Michael (Dorinda),Joanna (Mark),Natalie(Russ), Darcy(Leila), Adam, Daniel (Alisha)John (Sherriene), Greg(Chelsea), Abby and Mathew(Jamie).

Special “GG” to 21 Great Grandchildren.  Survived by her many nieces and nephews. 

Hetty leaves behind her sister Otty Snyder (North Carolina) and Brother-in-law Anthony (Irene) Hoornweg of the Netherlands.

Dear friend to Robert and Colleen Koolen who brought joy to her life through art.

Hetty lived her life to the fullest. Her family, friends and faith were her anchors in life. She enjoyed serving coffee at North Lambton Lodge, spending time playing bridge, canasta and gardening. She treasured her time with her good friend Liz Cahill especially during this difficult Covid time.

The family wish to express their gratitude to Dr. Sanders for all his care of Mom through these years.

In lieu of flowers her family ask that memorial donations be made to the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Emergency Department for the purchase of new equipment.
