Sincere condolences to everybody in Hetty’s family...Hetty was like an intrinsic part or our family too. She was a beautiful friend and companion to our mother and in his last few months to our father as well. Both Hetty and Al are in photos of many family gatherings over the years for as long as I can remember...they will be in our hearts forever..

Rick, Josta, Laurette, Pam & families: I was so saddened to hear of Hetty’s passing. She will always be in my heart for everything she has done for our family. I’ll never forget what she said to me after mom passed away “It does get easier”. I will miss the visits we had when I went home, she always had several stories to tell, she was an incredible woman. I am so saddened to read of Hetty’s passing. I recently saw her, Rick and Joyce at the Golf Club and had a nice chat. I invited her to mom’s celebration of life at a later date, I guess they’ve already met up. She was a beautiful lady and she was such a big part of the Murray family, along with her kids in earlier years. She will be deeply missed. Love and hugs to the entire Hoornweg family

Dear Rick, Josta, Laurette and Pam: I am heartbroken at the news of Hetty's passing. She was like a second mother to me. She was beautiful, inside and out - kind, generous, strong-willed, intelligent, opinionated and never shied away from showing love while keeping me on the straight and narrow when I spent so much time at your house as a teenager. To me Al and Hetty were like the 'Dutch' Ozzie and Harriet. The fond memories I have of her, and your Dad, will live on in my heart forever. Rick, Josta, Laurette, Pam and all your extended families. So very sad to hear of Hetty's passing. She was such a vibrant person with a heart of gold, charismatic and a terrific sense of humour. The friendship that she and Al shared with mom and dad was as strong as friends could be. I know how much she loved to play tricks at the Standard just to get Patsy wound up and then Hetty would just sit back, laugh and enjoy the show. There's certainly not enough space to convey what she meant to all of the Boyd family. You will all miss her greatly but know that she inspired us all to be better people.Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you.
