Obituary of Norman McColl

Norman Alexander McColl passed away on Wed. Feb. 18, 2009 at Babcock Nursing Home, in Wardsville, Ontario; in his 90th year. Born in West Lorne, on July 16, 1919, he was a Veteran of WWII, and a retired road grader operator. Predeceased by his parents, Neil and Nina (Leitch) McColl, brothers, Colin, Archie, Neil, and sister Jean, his wife Ruth (Purcell) in 1995 and granddaughter Jennifer Mortier in 1990. He is survived by his daughters Shirley (Ed) Schneider, of Rodney and Norma (Bob) Giulietti, of Oshawa; six grandchildren, Lisa (Craig) Yorke, of Kitchener, David Schneider, of London, Melissa (Cory) Murray, of St. Thomas, Laura, Paul and Karen Giulietti; and two great grandchildren Lance and EmmaYorke, nephews, nieces and cousins. As requested by Norman, there were no visitations or funeral service. Following cremation, interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, West Lorne, at a later date. A very special thank you to all who helped our father in so many ways in the latter years of his life, and for the care and compassion from the staff at Babcock in Norm's final days.
