Obituary of Marian Gilchrist

GILCHRIST Peacefully, at Babcock Community Care Centre, Wardsville on Saturday, December 13th, 2008. Marian Graham Gilchrist (nee McGill) of RR#1 West Lorne in her 99th year. Predeceased by her husband Duncan (2000). Marian was a lifelong member of Knox Presbyterian Church, West Lorne and Argyle Presbyterian Church, Crinan. She was also an honorary life member of the Crinan Women's Missionary Society. Lovingly remembered by her daughters Betty Purcell (James, 1981) of Wardsville, Barbara (Deanie) Haggith (Lloyd, 2006) and Isabel Riese and her husband Eberhardt of London and her son Neil Gilchrist and his wife Sharon on RR#1 West Lorne. Marian will be sadly missed by her 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her sisters Grace McLean, Isabel McGill and Barbara McGregor. Friends may call at the West Lorne Chapel, 202 Main St. on Tuesday, December 16th, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday at 1:30 pm. Rev. Deb Dolbear-Van Bilsen officiating. Interment Evergreen cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions to the charity of your choice would be appreciated as your expression of sympathy.
