GEORGE, Barbara (Johnson)

Surrounded by the overwhelming love of her family in her 85^th year, Barbara went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 23, 2018.  Beloved wife of the late Edward Franklin George.  Dear mother of Karl Tolsma (Shirley), James George (Lorraine), Kathy Ritchie (Philip), John George (Sonja), Karen Rogers (Carmen Sr.), Kenny George (Nicole), Donny George, and the late Gilbert Guy George.  Also survived by her 36 grandchildren, 78 great-grandchildren, and 22 great-great grandchildren.  Reunited with her great-grand daughter Makayla Rain Sault, and her grandson Randall George.  Special friend to many.  As a survivor and overcomer of the Muncey Residential School and the loss of her beautiful homeland at Stony Point, Barbara shared her strength, commitment and love of her heritage through her family and community.   She was proud to be a first line descendant of the Waupaugas chieftain line through her grandfather Levi Johnson.

Wake at the Kettle Point Community Centre on Saturday, March 24, 2018, and Sunday, March 25, 2018, starting at 4:00 pm with service each evening at 7:00 pm.   Funeral Service will take place at the Centre on Monday, March 26, 2018, at 11:00 am.  Interment to follow at Kettle Point Cemetery.  For those who wish, in memoriam donations to New Credit Fellowship Centre Chosen Youth Program would be appreciated by the family.  Online condolences may be left at www.forestfuneralhome.com   Funeral arrangements entrusted to DENNING’S OF FOREST
