I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Bruce. I worked by his side as secretary at Watford Public School. A funny memory I have was the time he proudly walked the halls not knowing he had one black and one brown shoe on! As you can imagine he was teased often by the staff and some students. I learned so much while working with Bruce and valued our friendship. RIP Bruce.

Although I didn't know Bruce long, he was a kind and caring neighbour who was always willing to lend a hand. I will miss his hearty laugh and gregarious personality. I was truly sorry to hear of his passing. I hope Margrit and family will find solace in the good memories Bruce left behind.

Bruce was my first principle at Dawn Central for Grades 7 and 8. My mom wad the Secretary/Treasurer of the school board and I recall him coming to our house to complete paper work. I remember he was always on the move and kept the grade 8 boys in line. I ran into him years later when I had a family of my own and he still called be by name. A great guy, sorry for your loss.

Having begun my teaching career in a little red schoolhouse, I became a member of the original 1964 teaching staff at Dawn Township Central School, under Bruce's leadership. He very capably gathered all of the little school sections in Dawn under one roof (Huge job!). I will always treasure my days at Dawn - great students, great staff, great fun - all made possible by a great principal.
