I just found out that you passed away when I tried to call you today to tell you that Ned passed away on my birthday, December 6th. We had just moved to Winter Haven, FL.
Our cottage at Bluepoint was your first sale -- you didn't tell me until years later! I will miss you my friend. Until we meet again I will drink a "Blue" in your honor. Merry Christmas.

We are sorry to have missed the visitation and memorial service for Ellie as we were out of the country. We will miss Ellie always, and we feel the void in the Lake Valley Grove community. Always an amazing joyful person to spend time with ! I was fortunate to have known her since London Road West & high school days, and years later fortunate to have her as a real estate agent, then neighbor. My thoughts and prayers are with Ellie today, a lady whom helped me so much during my 4 years here in Vancouver. We talked regularly and Ellie became a true friend to me and my needs, in many ways. I want her family to know I appreciated Ellie's kindness and her enthusiasm to talk with me so openly, me at age 95. We had wonderful conversations and Ellie took care of my house in Forest, so well. She went out of her way for me, with many special favours. I wanted to call her just last week and thank her yet again. To hear of this today is deeply saddening. I was shocked when I read of Ellen's passing in the paper tonight. I was unaware that she was ill. I have spent so many years in golf, and our paths would cross repeatedly as young women in competition with each other. Our recent years in local tournaments, we always stopped and had a chat with each other.
I loved Ellen's spirit. She was always full of good cheer. I do also recall (though not so clearly these days) our earlier days in the communities surrounding the "Red Church" and Maundaumin.
Always, she will be remembered with fondness. I wish all her family the best and extend my sympathies to all of you.

Hi: I knew Ellen from when I worked at the Kettle & Stony Point Band Council and I worked the front desk and she would come in to the office wanting to see Bob Bressette, our Lands & Estates Administrator regarding rent or leasing on reserve. Sending along our condolences to Ellie's family. She was a great business woman and a great gal. When my Dad went into North Lambton Lodge, my brother and I put his house up for sale at 10 Main Street North. Ellie ended up buying it since it was already zoned "commercial: - and turning it into the Remax office. The last time I saw her, she was the M-C at the Curling kitchen quarter-auction fund raiser. I had my number called a couple of times - but had not placed a bid. She said, "Eleanor - put your quarter in!!" We had a good laugh. It is a sad day in Forest.

Ellie and family have been part of our lives for over 35years. We are all very saddened by Ellie's death as is every person who ever met this truly remarkable person. She was a tower of strength and so down to earth in everything she tackled. She was one of the most competitive teammates I ever played beside. I have a mark on my shin to prove it. She was just as competitive in business. Her work ethic was second to none. Always going that extra mile for anyone and everyone. She volunteered as hard as she worked. A rock solid pillar in the Forest community. A devoted and caring mother and sister. Any time spent with Ellie never left you wondering what was on her mind. You knew full well before you left. Words cannot express the sorrow and heart ache I feel after I heard that Ellie had passed away. Our sympathy to Marsha, Tim, Jason and their families. Elaine and Luke, it was a pleasure to meet and get to know the both of you. Ellie and I said goodbye to each other just before Al and I left for our vacation in Australia. I think we both new it was a final farewell. (Hard to believe she is gone and I won't be able to stop in and say Hi and tell her about my holiday with my kids). We will not be able to attend visitations or the memorial get together but our thoughts are with Ellie's family and her many many friends. I will miss you Ellie, you will always be my great friend. My heart breaks for the family deepest sympathy. Ellie was the very first person we met her in Forest. and yes we bought our house from her. Not knowing Forest we asked her if the was a motel close by. She looked at us with that big smile of hers and said oh hell you don't need a motel spend the night at my house. We did chatted and had a few beers that night. I have dealt with a lot of real estate agents and I can truly say Ellie was very special.

Ellie was a neighbour in Lake Valley Grove for a couple of years, a friend and our realtor. She was such a lovely, warm lady with a wonderful sense of humour.
Although I hadn't seen her for several years since I moved to Burlington, then Leamington, I have tried to keep up with her on fb.
She was such a force in the community. I know she will be deeply missed. My condolences to her family and friends.

Ellie was always incredibly kind whenever I ran into her. Always had a smile on her face. We worked on enough real estate transactions together that I got the impression she was dedicated to her work and to her clients, which is truly rare in this industry. She was a pleasure to bump into whenever I had the opportunity. I appreciated her direct but soft-spoken demeanour whenever we worked together. The illness came as an absolute surprise and she'll be greatly missed. Sympathies to the family.

Dear Jason and your entire family,
My thoughts are divided this evening. My son's biological mother has also passed away this afternoon after a brief and swift encounter with cancer. And now I learn of of Ellie's passing. It's been a big day no matter how I look at it.
I grieve with you on the loss of your mother. She was an extraordinary lady. One quick memory: I told your mom once that my grandmother had always called me Ellie and had never felt comfortable with the nickname. Your Ellie advised me to embrace my inner Ellie.
