I am so sorry to hear about Corey. I knew Corey through the independent living program . I worked with Korey while he stayed there. He will be missed. I remember he would joke about me being blond lol and penguin because I guess I kinda walked like one . He was an amazing guy and I will never forget him.

From riding bikes, to playing hide and seek and basketball with the other neighbourhood kids, pizza parties and silly backyard games...there are so many memories - all of them good. It is hard to believe that a childhood friend is now gone.

I know he's at peacej now on his spirit journey and the loss is ours. I send my love to his family, some of whom have become our family. The good parts live on in Ahanu who has his smile and athletic skills. He was kind, artistic and brought a lot of fun when he was healthy. His love for the kids brought out his child like spirit.

The news of Cory's passing was a sure shock Our condolences from the staff at the Sarnia Lambton Native Friendship Centre as he visited us on a daily/weekly basis. Cory was a kind and gentle man who was searching endlessly for his Anishnabe heritage and self identity He talked often of his family, his sisters and his Aunt Ethel, shared memories of his children and more importantly voiced his need to live a vibrant life ...
