Many fond memories with Gem en Irene over the years especially when we were younger and seemed to have more time for each other. They where proud of their children and the what the farm produced. I fondly remember the children small tumbling over your lap on the chesterfield.
Visiting Irene at the Strathroy farmers indoor market,,, comments See , Pretty nice eh, what do you think. Sometimes in the winter while pruning on a sunny afternoon Gerry would say what do you think if we take a a little time to hunt up a rabbit or 2 for supper which was fun to do. We are so sad for your family in the loss of your Poppy. I remember Jerry as a man of small stature but possessing the full measure of a man. He had shining blue eyes and always had a smile on his face. He treated us neighbour kids not as a nuisance but as people he cared about with his kindness. I appreciate so much the good neighbour that he and Irene were to our family and to our mom when dad passed away. He was such a hard worker and he taught that to his family as well. Our deep sympathy goes out to you, his legacy, at this time.

As a young girl, our neighbour was your father, with his sparkling blue eyes and he gave me my very first real job. I doubt that I much of an investment for him initially, but eventually I learned that if I worked steady and fast, I could make some money and fill those bins. He was a sweet hard working man.
My thoughts are with your family as you try to deal with the loss of your father so soon after the loss of your mother. If memories are our treasures, your family is rich indeed. My sincere condolences to all,

Joanne and Steve, Julianne, Andria and Traves,

To all of Irene and Gerry Veens offspring and families
Wow, this sure took me by surprise. We would like to offer our most sincere condolences in the passing of Gerry. It certainly wasn't that long ago when we did the same for Irene. This is hard on the family, kids and grandkids and we hope and pray that you may all find peace in your Lord, Jesus Christ. We pray that you will experience the love of God and that this love spills over into all of the lives connected to Irene and Gerry. They both were living testaments to family.
