Obituary of Gloria Jean Shortt

Peacefully, after a short battle with Leukemia and with her children at her side, Gloria Shortt passed away on April 25, 2024. 

Gloria will be reunited with her predeceased husband, Barry Shortt, after 19 years apart and her father, the late Lorne Ross.

She is survived by her devoted children, Greg (Kathy), Jeff (Andrea) and, Shelley (Scott) and her loving mother, Bernice Ross.

Nanny will be fondly remembered by her loving grandchildren Kylee, Tara, Kourtney, Ethan, Jaxon, Brooklyn, and Hunter.

Her siblings, Phil Ross, Mary and Jerry Loughren, and Dave and Tanya Ross, will also miss her dearly.

Gloria spent her last few months in loving anticipation of the arrival of her first great-grandchild, expected this coming October. Her spirit will live on through the sharing of stories and memories of time spent with her family and friends and the way her kindness touched all those who knew her.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the loving and compassionate care shown to Gloria and her family by the wonderful staff at Bluewater Health- Sarnia during this tender time. 

Cremation has taken place.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to Bluewater Health-Sarnia /Palliative Unit would be greatly appreciated.
