Obituary of Lloyd Jones

OBITUARY:

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Lloyd Jones announce his passing on Tuesday October 24, 2023, at North Lambton Lodge in Forest, Ontario. Born and raised on a farm in Watford, Lloyd was a quiet man who loved the comforts of home.  Known as a true “Hometown Boy”, when not working on the farm, Lloyd would bike to town to visit the locals at the store and socialize.  His family holds memories of his love of lottery tickets, and watermelon.  Lloyd worked all his life in Watford, first at Moffat and Powell, then at Watford Roof Truss, where he remained until he took long term residence at North Lambton Lodge.

Lloyd is survived by his parents, the late Orville Jones and Margaret Oke, his siblings, the late Laurene (and Pete), John (and Sharon), Richard (and Helen), his nieces and nephews: Ron, Lauri, John, Dan, Kim, Cindy, Chris, Chad, Steven, Kelly, Tammy, and Jeff, as well as his many great nieces and nephews.  Lloyd will be dearly missed by his long-time friend from North Lambton Lodge, Jane Jorris.

Lloyd’s family would like to extend their thanks and gratitude to all the staff at the North Lambton Lodge for the years of exceptional care they provided to him during his residency.

Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside memorial service in Lloyd’s honour, on Monday October 30 at 11am at Watford Cemetery, 5606 Nauvoo Rd in Watford.  In memory of Lloyd, donations can be made to the Lambton Elderly Outreach.
