Obituary of Darrel Richard Henry
It is with great sadness to announce that Darrel Richard “Rick” Henry, passed peacefully at Strathroy Hospital surrounded by family in his 62nd year.
Rick will be missed dearly by his siblings Sharon, Corrine, Paul (Helen), Tim, Dan (MaLynda), Darren, and sister in law Judy Henry. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He will be lovingly welcomed home by his parents Oswald and Lillian Henry, as well as siblings Sylvia, Doyle “skeeter”, Howard, and his late brother in law Barry Brown.
Rick was his family’s favourite shade tree mechanic and fixed many cars over the years. He could listen to a car over the phone and give you the diagnosis with superb accuracy. He was a simple man that enjoyed flipping through an auto trader magazine and watching old westerns and war movies while enjoying a smoke, a cup of tea, and bickering with his younger brother Tim. He loved to laugh, and enjoyed visits with his family and found great joy in watching the silly antics of his great-nieces/nephews.
He will be greatly missed by his family that loved him dearly, but it brings comfort to know that he will be welcomed into heaven by his many family members and friends.
