Doug, Marilyn, and families,
So sorry to just now read about the passing of your mother/grandmother. I used to see her at Brookside when both she and Dad were living there. I once spoke to Doug in the parking lot there as well. My thoughts are with you at this sad time. May pleasant memories eventually bring you peace.

She used to love my different sweaters that I would come in wearing with different names or brands on them.
Slim Jim will always be yours Mrs Smith. I will miss our conversations, I'll miss finding the sports channel for you on the Rogers Cable. I'll even miss the smell of your soap that you had in the bathroom. We didn't know each other for very long but our friendship could last a lifetime (heart).
Here's to you my friend, we will see each other again one day.

Marilyn,
I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was such a good soul, a woman who every time I would go down for a meal in the cafeteria, and if she was serving food that day, she always had a smile for me and would share a few words between us. I will never forget Bernice, a down to earth human being.
May she rest in peace and know that my prayers are with you and your family.
Take care Marilyn…

Sending our deepest sympathies to all of you. We will miss Aunt Bernice and her warm, sweet nature. She was always a joy to talk to. I personally remember when I had Carl at SMGH and she was working in dietary there - my meals were so good. One night dinner arrived and it was a huge plate of beef stroganoff with noodles and gravy and there was also butter and sour cream on top. And I ate it all!
She came up later that night to see Carl and I. I asked her if she had made my dinner and she got a big smile on her face, hesitated and then said yes. She had a way of making people feel special. Alan and I will miss her very much.
