I certainly will miss my Aunt Irene! My Mom and Dad, Marian and Frank Porter, named my middle name after her. Many fond
memories of visiting her and having fun together out at my Dad's farm. Grateful to have my two cousins, David and Peter

Our friendship with Irene has continued throughout the years, which began with David and Peter's minor hockey days. As the years passed we kept in touch with Irene, often on the phone. I will miss our weekly chats, on our last outside visit we talked about her 100th birthday, she didn’t want a big party.

Our deepest sympathy to David, Peter and families. We have fond memories of childhood trips to the beach and more recent "drop in visits" to her home. She always welcomed us in, to talk about her children and grandchildren while catching up on the latest news from Windsor. We enjoyed an occasional trip to the Cove too.
Irene was a dear friend who we truly enjoyed visiting while passing through Forest.

We have the fondest family memories of times spent with you, while at the farm, followed with visits to Forest to visit "Irene". Her eyes would light up as she caught us up on what was happening with her children and grandchildren. How proud she was and we enjoyed hearing them all. Her humour and laughter contagious.
We are sorry for your loss but know that the memories of her will be the best blanket that you could ever be wrapped in.
