Obituary of Ronald Samuel Huctwith
HUCTWITH, Ronald
The Huctwith family are very saddened to announce the passing of Ronald Samuel Huctwith in his 82nd year on Thursday, July 23, 2020. Great husband and best friend of his wife Glenyce (Ferguson) for over 61 years. He was the son of the late Norman and Doris Huctwith. Brother of Jessie Dobbyn (Owen) and Janet Munro. Uncle of Bonnie (Ron Sharp), Terry Acton (Gord), Sandy Whitton, and Cathy Munro. Predeceased by his nephew Joe Acton. He was the proud and encouraging father of Kevin (Linda), Christine, and Greg (Theresa). He was the fun loving Dee Dee to his grandchildren Bryan (Sammie), Jonathan, and Tommy, and step grandchildren Larissa, Jason, and his latest joy, great grandson Eli. Brother in law to Glen and Pat Ferguson, and uncle of Duane, and the late Dean and Diane. Great-uncle of Mathew and Emily, and the late Wesley. Also missed by Crystal Ferguson.
Ron farmed for many good years in Warwick Township, farming being his passion. He retired to Rock Glen where he enjoyed walking and bird watching with his four-legged best friend Maggie. Our family wishes to express our sincere thanks for the support we received over the last 10 years, especially last four weeks. Our sincere thanks to Bayshore, the palliative team, Dr. Madison, Dr. Davies, Stacy and Patty who patiently helped us the last few days to make him as comfortable as possible at home. Thanks to all our neighbours, friends and family, new and old, for food, cards, hugs and support. We are so very greatful. Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Hospice of Sarnia, the Arkona Lions Club, or Knox Presbyterian Church in Thedford.
