I am very sorry to hear about your dad. I have such fond childhood memories of spending many hours at your house with all of you, especially Anita. Your mom and dad always made me feel welcome! Your dad was regularly cleaning the pool for us and being exceptionally patient with so many teenagers invading his home. We had so much fun. It seems like only yesterday. Thinking of you at this sad time.

I first met Al in the early 70’s as a friendly easy going guy in the Lubes area who knew his job. In the latter 80’s we would attend the same shift reporting meeting at 4:00 am with Bryce Dafoe!. Never a problem staying awake for the rest of the shift after a session with Al & Bryce. Rumours R Us.

My condolences to the family. I remember crossing paths with Al at Imperial Oil many times, and he was a joy to work with. More recently, I kept running into Al this last month, at the Esso retirees event at the VPP, then at John's restaurant, then at the strawberry social in Forest. I kidded him that it seemed to be his turn to make dinner a lot lately.
