Shipley, Ronald Bruce "Pork"

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Ron "Pork" Shipley announce his sudden passing on December 6th, 2023 at the age of 67. Loving husband of Sharon Shipley (nee Redmond) for 41 wonderful years. Proud Dad of twins Mandy Shipley (Mike Knauer) and Katy (Brandon) Thompson. Cherished Papa of Zoey, Owen, Emelia and Eloise. Beloved son of Geraldine "Gerry" and the late Ivan Shipley. Brother of Karen (Doug) Kingdon, Kevin (Wanda) Shipley and Ian (Barb) Shipley. Brother-in-law of Doug (Ruthann) Redmond, Lori Veroude (Dan) and the late David Redmond. Predeceased by in-laws Jim and Irene Redmond.  He will be missed by many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Ron, along with his brothers operated Lakeside Grain & Feed Ltd., in Forest and greater Lambton. Ron was a very respected and loyal man, always there for his customers and community. A very generous man with a big heart. In his younger days, Ron was a member of the Forest Fire department. In his retirement years, together with his wife Sharon, they enjoyed many road trips in his white and chrome pickup. Ron had many “visions,” with a project always on the go and spent many hours in his well organized shop. Ron also enjoyed morning coffee with the boys; the best way to start the day. But, most of all he was a family man. His pride and joy were his girls and grandkids.

A visitation will take place on Monday, December 11^th, 2023 from 12:00-3:00pm and 5:00-8:00pm. A private family service will take place. Interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Bluewater Health Foundation (Stroke Unit Garden in memo line).
