Dear Ferguson Family,
There are absolutely no words to express our sympathy to you. the loss of such a wonderful young man as Wes is inconceivable. I had the privilege of knowing Wes both at Alexander Mackenzie and at my shop on Uttoxeter Rd.
He was a great help to me, both at school and at home on whatever project was at hand. It was clear , that being a farmboy myself, that Wes had a lot of hands on experience working on anything that was mechanical. He was a natural. He had a quiet and steady way about him that made him such an asset in so many situations. He spoke highly of his Mom and Dad and Grandma and Grandpa. He loved the farm, the work, his family and friends. All this was very evident in his actions. He was not crazy about school, but loved to work in the shop where the skills he had acquired along the way at home were most evident. I remember him coming down the country road by our house driving a sprayer in the winter to come and help me when I was building my shop! I asked him if he wanted a ride over but he said "no, I will find my way there". And so he did!
