Obituary of Dorothy Jean Creasey

CREASEY, Dorothy

Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Marshall Gowland Manor in Sarnia, on Monday, April 16, 2018, at the age of 88 years.  Beloved wife of the late Donald Creasey.  Loving mother of Donna Parkin (late Richard), Daniel Wayne, and Diane Clark (Jack), and the late David Gordon (1966).  Grandmother of Jessica, Sam, Jillian, Angela, Amanda, Allyssa, Jared, and Abby.  Great-grandmother to William, Henry, Samuel, Harry, Florence Dorothy, Beth, George, Aryanna, Freja, Wyatt, James, Seamus, Liam, Mackenzie, and Clyde.  Also survived by her sister in law Dorothy Keat.  Predeceased by her siblings Ruth Chappell, Earl Ross, Jim Rosenbloom, Betty Ann Rosenbloom, and Ernie Rosenbloom (Maryanne).  Dorothy will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews who can now freely call her “Aunt Dot.”

Dorothy lived a very active and full life, and engaged in many pursuits, including quilting, knitting, snowmobiling, gardening, boating and sailing, fishing, cooking, and was a one-woman manufacturing whirlwind.  She was so devoted to caring for others and her charitable works that she could boast having received her first speeding ticket while on a delivery of one of her quilts.  She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Visitation will take place at DENNING’S OF FOREST, 9 James Street South, Forest, on Friday, April 20, 2018, from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm, and at Paterson Memorial Presbyterian Church (120 Russell Street South, Sarnia) on Saturday, April 21, 2018, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.  Funeral Service to take place at 1:00 pm at the church.  Interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery.  For those who wish, in memoriam donations to the Sarnia Lambton Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.  Online condolences may be left at www.forestfuneralhome.com
