I just want to pass on my condolences to the family about the loss of Doris. I was her flower girl at she and Bob's wedding. I remember when I was little and Bob would come to do straw at the farm and I was the one who hooked up the wagons to the harvester. Doris was always such a hard worker and I remember her most from the church at Ravenswood. She was a very special lady. Again so sorry for your lost.

So sorry to hear about Doris. She was a funny, kind & sweet person. We will always remember that she called herself "the pie lady". When we asked what she meant by that she said that her only job at Fair Time and Steam Threshers was to cut and serve pie, as the counter was at her height. She will be missed. So sorry to hear of your loss. This is a hard one for me. Every Friday I would look forward to Doris coming through my door at 9:15 for her 9:30 appointment with a cheery "Hey Girls". I loved the fact she would include everyone with conversation in the shop either young or old, whether it was new recipes, new or old photos, what she fed the boy that week for lunch or bring a new blanket in she made. We have shed a few tear together and a lot of laughter. She was so proud of her family I feel like I know each and everyone of you. We have lost such a sweet, kind and caring little lady with a heart as big as herself. We will miss you ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Doris was a selfless volunteer in our community. She worked very hard to make sure the Fair would be our community gathering place for generations to come. There is no better way to judge someone's character than what they do for others....Doris was an example to all. I speak on behalf of all of Doris' fair friends. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed.
