Peacefully on March 15, 2018 at Bluewater Health at the age of 76.  Beloved husband of Norio (Van Geffen) for 50 years.  Devoted father of Donna Foster partner of Dawson Wickens, (David, 1987), and Rhonda with husband John Van Gorp.  Proud Opa of Holly, Megan, Tyler and Nicole Foster ; Heyden, Jack, Sean and Paul Van Gorp.  Dear Step-Opa of Brandon and Shelby Griggs.  Son of (Tony and Martha Vanderheyden).  Brother of Joanne & (Dennis) Potter, (John) & Toni, Leo & Caroline, (Harry) & Corry, Helen & Jerry Vanderydt, (George & Maria), Marg & Ken Pearson, Fran & Al Wilson.  Brother-in-law of Joanne & (Albert) Royackers, (Grada & Tom Vlemmix), (Ann & George Lalich), Gerdie & (Murray(Perk)) Beaudoin, Jane & Lambert Vanderkant, Frank & Agnes Van Geffen, John & Elsie Van Geffen, (Martin) & Rita Van Geffen, and Leo & Kate Van Geffen.  Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Ed enjoyed life to the fullest.  In his teenage and younger adult years, he worked local jobs driving truck then went to London and worked as an equipment operator.  In 1970, he moved with his wife back to the home farm at RR 5, and raised his family, working hard every day to build up the farm.  He enjoyed playing hockey and baseball, flying, then fishing and golfing  with his friends, and travelling.

Visitation will take place at DENNING’S OF FOREST, 9 James Street South, Forest, on Sunday, March 18, 2018, from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm & 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Christopher’s Catholic Church, 68 Union Street, Forest, on Monday morning, March 19, 2018, at 11:00 am.   Special thank you to the caregivers of the 4th and 5th floors at Bluewater Health.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Christopher’s Missions or the Alzheimer Society Sarnia-Lambton.  Online condolences may be left at www.denning.ca
