I wanted to write and say I am truly sorry for your loss. I have been visiting Bruce Peninsula and driving on Highway with my mom and dad as a passenger and driver since 1972. This whole peninsula has been flooded with tourists visiting who never even hike, bike, swim, snorkel, or scuba. They drive ridiculous speeds and my mom was run off the road by an oncoming passing car on Highway 6th weekend of Civic Holiday.
One of my friends lives on Highway 6 less than a kilometer from the accident site and was on the first on the scene.
My neighbor in Lions Head, who works for the Fired Dept, was also first on the scene.
I am so, so, so sorry for your loss of Traves. I drove by seen the White cross and flowers and my arms have goosebumps now. Your son, friend, or family member will forever be in my prayers every time I pass that spot near Miller Lake.
We seen people passing on full lines and passing 4 and 5 cars as approaching a hill, just this weekend just 1 week from the horrific accident.
God bless your family and remember the good times Traves brought to you.
He passed away in an area, that I call, GOD's Country. So he indeed is with God.

I am so shocked and saddened to learn of this tragedy. My thoughts and prayers are with Stephen, Joanne, Julieanne & Andria and your entire family.I remember Travis at Kids' Klub at Arkona Baptist.. He and his sisters were gentle, sweet children. I admired Julianne's care and protection of her younger siblings.They were a reflection of a home where they were truly loved .

We are filled with sadness as we prepare to say goodbye to Traves. He was a young man who worked hard, and demonstrated his direction and goals. He adored his sisters and was immensely proud of his parents. He will always be remembered as a wonderful son, brother and friend. Our family had the pleasure of watching him grow up and become a successful machinist and welder. He never ever forgot his roots and connection to his family. He helped with his mothers dream of a hosta business, and he was quick to help his dad with any number of jobs and also shared his love of cars. His foundation and sense of family was remarkable. We will miss you Traves, and we will work hard to comfort your family.
