Robert Alan Blair, age 67, passed away peacefully with his wife on July 14, 2017 on the eve of their 28th wedding anniversary at LHSC Victoria Hospital.  Much loved husband of Susan (Sue) Sutherland of Forest, ON.  Missed by his feline family.  Dear son-in-law of Mac Sutherland and his wife Joanne of Lambton Shores, ON.  Cherished nephew of Mary Clark of Parkhill, ON.  Dear brother-in-law of Patricia (Pat) Blair of Los Angeles, CA.  Loving uncle of Leonard (Max) Blair of Los Angeles, CA and Jacqueline (Jackie) Metcalfe of Richmond Hill, ON.  Special friend of Mary and Richard (Rick) Metcalfe of Woodstock, ON.  Dedicated longtime friend of Bill W.  Predeceased by his parents Dr. Albert (1991) and Catherine (2008) (Albaugh) Blair, his brother Raymond (1997) Blair and his mother-in-law Velda (2010) (Grosvenor) Sutherland.  Bob was born and raised near Pittsburgh, PA where his father had a veterinary clinic.  He joined the U.S. Air Force after high school and served in Vietnam.  Bob trained as a Cook and studied Restaurant and Institutional Food Service Management at Columbus State College.    He lived in Columbus, OH until he married Sue.  His disability with dermatomyositis challenged Bob to find new meaning in life.  Big Bob as he was known was a friend    and inspiration to many people.  Bob was a proud American; however happy to call Canada home.  Cremation has taken place.  Family and friends will be received on Friday July 21, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at DENNING’S OF FOREST, 9 James St. South, Forest, ON, and one hour prior to the Celebration of Life at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 22, 2017.  Memories and condolences may be left online at www.denning.ca  Sue would appreciate memorial donations to the London Health Sciences Centre Foundation, Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundation or Bluewater Health Foundation.
