Obituary of Marcel DeSchutter

DeSchutter, Mr. Marcel Wilfred Sadly on October 9, 2016, with his family by his side, Marcel Wilfred DeSchutter of Forest, aged 60 years. Marcel is forever loved by his wife and best friend Donna (Aitken), and his “princess” Melanie (Paul Morin). Marcel is survived by his brothers Gilbert DeSchutter (Bonnie), Ted DeSchutter, Carl DeSchutter (Carrie), his sister Gloria Brady (Garry), and his mother in law Fran Aitken. He is predeceased by his parents Joe and Margaret DeSchutter, and his father in law Doug Aitken. Marcel will be remembered by many nieces and nephews, and will always be missed by everyone at St. John Fisher School, where he was a custodian for 25 years. Marcel touched so many children’s lives at St. John Fisher and always strived to make them feel important and special. His smiling face will be truly missed at SJF. Visitation will take place at DENNINGS OF FOREST, 9 James Street South, Forest, on Wednesday, October 12, 2016, from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm & 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. A Funeral Service will take place in the chapel at DENNINGS OF FOREST, 9 James Street South, Forest, on Thursday afternoon, October 13, 2016, at 1:00 pm. Interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery. Donations may be made as a tribute to Marcel so he will live on at St. John Fisher through the Marcel DeSchutter Memorial Award for the graduating student who is most helpful and takes pride in the school, or to the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #176 Tree Carving Fund.
