Obituary of John Earl Douglas

Passed away at his residence on Monday, June 3, 2019, at the age of 86 years.  Beloved husband of the late Arlene.  Loving father of Raymond Douglas (Brenda), Joan Catt (Wayne), Brenda Armitage (Mark), and Donna McCormick (late Doug).  Grandfather of Melina and Jolene Douglas; Joshua Catt (Kate), Dustin and Spencer Catt; Callie Pearson (Mike), Jenna Armitage, and the late Colton Armitage; Meagan Faulds (Nathan), Brittany, Trevor, and Greg McCormick.  Great-grandfather of Emersyn Faulds, Esemay Pearson, and Elizabeth Catt. 

Survived by his sisters Jean Cook (late Burt), and Shirley Kondra (late Doug; late Jim), and predeceased by his brothers Bill Douglas, Robert Douglas (late Betty). Survived by his sister in law Betty Douglas.

Also predeceased by his brothers in law Rae Emery (late June) and Ted Emery.

Visitation will take place at DENNING’S OF FOREST, 9 James Street South, Forest, on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm & 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm.  An OddFellow service will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday evening at 6:45 pm.  (Members are asked to attend at the funeral home at 6:40 pm)  A Funeral Service will take place at the funeral home on Thursday morning at 11:00 am.  Interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery.  For those who wish, in memoriam donations to Camlachie United Church or to the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.  Online condolences may be left at www.forestfuneralhome.com
