Obituary of Shirley June Metcalfe

METCALFE, Shirley June (nee Anderson) Passed away peacefully at Bluewater Health Centre on Saturday ,September 6, 2014, at the age of 78. Beloved wife of 56 years and best friend of Murray Metcalfe. Loving mother of Shelley (Stephen Nantes), Kitchener; Sherry (Robert) Swim, London; Randy (Kathy Behrendt), Waterloo; Cynthia (Daniel) Heisler, Chilliwack, B.C. Cherished grandmother of Julia, Stephanie, Ainsley, and Reid Nantes; Mark, Laura, and Megan Swim; Ashley and Brydan Heisler. Dear sister of Dean (Mary Ellen) Anderson, Blake (Nancy) Anderson, Paul (Betty) Anderson and Pat (Steve) Schultz. Sister in law of Glenn (Joan) Metcalfe. Predeceased by her parents Freda and Bert Anderson. Born and raised in Bosanquet Township. Lived her married life in Forest. Shirley enjoyed for many years teaching, retiring from Warwick Public School. Lifelong member of St. James Presbyterian Church. Family and friends will be received at the FOREST CHAPEL OF DENNING FUNERAL DIRECTORS, on Tuesday, September 9, 2014, from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm & 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday afternoon, September 10, 2014, at 2:00 pm with Rev. Joanne MacOdrum officiating. Interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery. Reception to follow at St. James Presbyterian Church. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
